nRF Toolbox doesn't work properly on Windows phone.

I'm testing one hardware with Nordic apps on various mobile platforms. For Android and iOS, Nordic apps works just fine. But for Windows I could find only nRF Toolbox(no nRF Connect) and that too doesn't work properly, i.e., it's not able to detect my hardware. So, I have few questions:

  1. Are we going to have any Update for nRF Toolbox in near future? or launching nRF Connect

  2. Is there any work around to make existing app work on Windows mobile?

  3. Did you guys stop providing support for Windows platform? If so, please let me know why?

(A) Does Windows SDK supports all required BLE APIs?

(B) Any technical difficulty or problem with using any BLE API on Windows platform?

Thanks!

  • Are we going to have any update for nRF Toolbox or launching nRF Connect in near future?

No, we’re not planning on updating nRF Toolbox or releasing nRF Connect for Windows phones.

Is there any work around to make existing app work on Windows mobile?

The existing app is compatible with Windows 8.1. If you need the app to be compatible with WIn 10, then you will have to migrate the existing code from 8.1 to Win 10.

Did you guys stop providing support for Windows platform? If so, please let me know why?

Yes, we have stopped updating the nRF Toolbox for Windows. It boils down to priorities and the amount of users.

    (A) Does Windows SDK supports all required BLE APIs?

I am afraid that I do not know if Microsoft's SDK supports all the features in BLE 4.2. Please refer to Microsofts SDK Documentation.

    (B) Any technical difficulty or problem with using any BLE API on Windows platform?

Again, I am afraid that I do not know this either. I suggest you refer to Microsofts SDK Documentation and their developer forums.
