THE GREAT ESCAPE 2024

Our ever popular event is back for another year and for the first time, we are running an official shorter Mini- Break Edition of the full route. 

The full 210km route takes you from central London through the rolling countryside of Essex, with a total elevation of 1,789m. The route starts in King's Cross in central London, before heading out to the quiet lanes and picturesque villages of Essex making two stops at the ICC feed station in Great Dunmow on both the outward and return legs (75k and 141k). 

The 140km Mini Break route with a total elevation of 1089m, follows the same route as the full version to the feed station in Great Dunmow where it turns and heads back to London along the same path as the full route. Riders can decide on the day what route they prefer to do. 

Sign up via British Cycling. Entry is £15. 

This year we're partnering with our friends at the fantastic Via Atelier in Coal Drops Yard in Kings Cross where our ride starts and Babel Beerhouse where the ride finishes -  so join us for a pre-ride breakfast and post-ride celebrations.
