I cannot say much without knowing more details. The  Capacitive touch tutorial was written for SDK 11. Are you using that?

You should also be aware of a few important things with regard to this tutorial:

• Most importantly, the demonstrated method should not be used in an end product due to erratum 84 (COMP: ISOURCE not functional). The ISOURCE feature is not present in the nRF52840 nor nRF52810.
• The SDK now has support for capacitive touch, so you should use the SDK variant instead.

In practice, the only suitable capacitive touch solution Nordic provide is the Capacitive Sensor low-level library and Capacitive Sensor library from the SDK, where you should use the SAADC variant (this is not affected by erratum 84).
